# ZajLibrary — documentation context

5. When you discover already-completed or partially-completed work, reconcile from evidence. Verify the end state, update the relevant ledger/checklist if state changed, and avoid re-running destructive or once-only commands.
6. Banned routine asks: "should I update trackers?", "should I commit?", "should I run verification?", "should I fix the stale ledger?", or "which option do you prefer?" when the guide/project makes one option clearly better.
7. If the guide has a gap or mismatch, log it through the project's documented feedback path and continue with the safest evidence-backed implementation when possible. Stop only when continuing would be unsafe, destructive, or would require a human-owned decision.

Both are **generated from the content collection** (filesystem + frontmatter) — you do not register pages by hand. If a file you just added does not appear:

1. **Restart dev** — `npm run dev` from `app/` (port **4321**). Astro often hot-reloads *edits* but not always a **brand-new** `.mdx` file.
2. **Check production** — `library.zajapps.com` only updates after deploy; local-only pages stay local until you ship.
3. **Path + frontmatter** — file must live under `app/src/content/docs/zajlibrary/…` with `category` / `subcategory` / `topic` set (topic-first layout).

This is separate from the **MCP keyword index** (`npm run build:index` + dev restart) — that only affects `/api/mcp` search, not the sidebar or folder tree.
